I am a software engineer at TIER IV, focusing on the research and development of autonomous driving systems and their various related components. My current role revolves around the inter-component and external APIs of the open-source Autonomous Driving Stack, Autoware, as well as designing and implementing infrastructure-aided autonomous driving features using V2I communication.

In March 2023, I completed my masters degree at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo, advised by Prof. Manabu Tsukada and Prof. Hiroshi Esaki. My research interests focused on Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS) and V2X technologies. Specifically, my area of focus was on Cooperative Perception and how we can reliably utilize cooperatively perceived information in the context of autonomous driving.

During my time in university, I was a member of the Esaki Laboratory and the Tsukada Laboratory.

I have also been part of the WIDE Project and the Industrial Cyber Security Center of Excellence (ICS CoE), focusing on R&D of IPv6 applications and cybersecurity issues for industrial control systems. At the ICS CoE of the Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA), our team designed and conducted cybersecurity training exercises for various companies both within and outside of Japan.

Previously, I spent quite a bit of time in the startup space in Tokyo, raising funding for iOS app development projects back in 2015 to co-founding Gracia Inc. in 2017 with our personalized gifts e-commerce service, TANP, and later developing AWS infrastructure and backend services for a few other EC startups.

Although I feel like I have been all over the place, my main focus for a while now has been on emerging connected autonomous vehicle tech, and its implementation into society.
